Software development pipeline

One product workflow.
More of it connected.

Our development direction connects configuration, engineering, procurement and quality. These are the next capabilities we want to bring into CPC and the Inventor add-in.

Planned development. These capabilities describe our direction, rather than features available today. Scope and release timing will evolve as we develop and validate them.

01 / CPC & Add-in connectivity

From engineering inputs.
To a connected product.

Live model updates

Update the engineering model from CPC as product parameters and options change, keeping the configuration connected to the design.

3D viewing in CPC

Inspect the configured product in a 3D view within CPC, so teams can review the result alongside their selected options.

Bills of materials & product lists

Bring the complete product and component list into CPC, with a bill of materials tied to the selected configuration.

Quoting through CPC

Bring the quoting workflow into the portal, extending the functions currently available in the Inventor add-in to the teams configuring and selling the product.

02 / Supplier & project management

From release to RFQ.
Through to delivery.

Supplier registration & RFQs

Register suppliers against their manufacturing technologies. Release a job to RFQ, giving each relevant supplier its own link to review and bid on the BOM items within its scope.

Item-level project tracking

Track the current state of every item, supplier responses and expected delivery dates. Compare estimated and actual costs, with scope to surface overdue items, outstanding decisions and project progress from the same data.

03 / Quality & documentation

From checks at the part.
To the complete record.

Quality reports on any device

Complete QA records from a phone, tablet or PC through a dedicated interface, without needing a separate Excel workbook.

Product-specific review checklists

Define review groups for each product, assembly or part. Require the relevant design and manufacturing checks to be completed and recorded before the item moves through its agreed review stage.

Manufacturing data record collation

Identify related quality documents, build an index and bring completed inspection reports and supporting records together into a complete manufacturing data record (MDR) suite.
